Here are a few ideas for things to do in the Mon\u00e9di\u00e8res region<\/strong>, in the magnificent Corr\u00e8ze d\u00e9partement: <\/p>\n

1: Hiking : <\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Mon\u00e9di\u00e8res region offers numerous hiking trails,<\/strong> including the Saut du Loup circuit. A 7km circuit, which takes you to the most beautiful panorama of the medieval town of Treignac<\/g>. Hike along the banks of the V\u00e9z\u00e8re<\/strong> river, then through woods and meadows, finishing with a dip in Lac des Bariousses<\/strong>, a Blue Flag-rated bathing spot. This is one of the department’s must-see hiking trails, and is just 10 minutes from our unusual village of Les Mon\u00e9di\u00e8res. This trail will enable you to discover the Mon\u00e9di\u00e8res and its flora and fauna. <\/p>\n

2: MOUNTAIN BIKING : <\/strong><\/h4>\n

Mountain bikers can explore the Mon\u00e9di\u00e8res on the many paths and tracks adapted to<\/strong> this activity, thanks to the many signposted circuits and mountain bike bases in Corr\u00e8ze.<\/p>\n

3: Canoeing and kayaking<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The region’s rivers, such asthe Dordogne, V\u00e9z\u00e8re, Corr\u00e8ze and Di\u00e8ge<\/strong>, offer excellent canoeing and kayaking opportunities. There are many routes to choose from, as well as the possibility of renting equipment on site. <\/p>\n

4: Fishing<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The region’s rivers are also great for fishing, with a variety of fish such as trout, salmon and barbel, and<\/strong> a variety of techniques to suit all tastes. Fly fishing or predator fishing. Corr\u00e8ze is an ideal fishing destination because it also offers a wide variety of playgrounds: large lakes, the V\u00e9z\u00e8re or Dordogne gorges,<\/strong> but above all wild, natural rivers that will give you a change of scenery. <\/p>\n

6: Village visits<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Around the Villages des Mon\u00e9di\u00e8res, discover the charming medieval villages of the area, such as Chamberet<\/strong>, which is within walking distance. Take your car and discover the villages of Turenne<\/g> and Collonges-la-Rouge<\/g>, classified as the most beautiful villages in France. These listed villages are renowned for their medieval architecture and history. <\/p>\n

7: Castles tour <\/strong><\/h4>\n

There are no castles in the Mon\u00e9di\u00e8res region that can be visited by the general public. However, if you take your car, you can explore some of Corr\u00e8ze’s castles: Ch\u00e2teau de Turenne<\/strong>, Tours de Merle<\/strong>, Ch\u00e2teau de Pompadour<\/strong> and the Orangerie stables, Ch\u00e2teau de Val<\/strong> and Ch\u00e2teau de Ventadour<\/strong>. These sites are well worth a visit for their architecture, their natural setting and their history. <\/p>\n

8: Tasting of local products <\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Mon\u00e9di\u00e8res region is what we call a “blueberry country”. “a blueberry-growing area<\/em><\/strong> Because of the favorable climate and soil conditions. They are picked on summer mornings, with a comb, and eaten in pie, jam or syrup. Don’t miss the chance to taste an apple juice or cider made from apples picked in our unusual Mon\u00e9di\u00e8res village. You’ll find them at reception. <\/p>\n

9: Accrobranche <\/strong><\/h4>\n

In the heart of theMon\u00e9di\u00e8res arboretum<\/strong> (accessible on foot from the village of Mon\u00e9di\u00e8res), treat yourself to a tree-climbing session.<\/strong> 50 workshops, with zip lines, Nepalese bridges, barrels, net bridges and many more. Pitchoun, green, blue, red and black courses, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy, at low prices. <\/p>\n
