La Toue Cabanée: an iconic boat
The Toue Cabanée is an emblematic river boat, well known to Loire river dwellers. This barge, with a wooden cabin, was used to navigate the Loire, most of the time traveling downstream. Used for transporting people and goods, on arrival at its destination the Toue was easily dismantled and recycled as building materials.
The Toue consists of a flat-bottomed barge with a wide bow, a mast for sailing and, in most cases, a cabin, which gives it its name Toue Cabanée .

Slowmoov, with the help of the CPC shipyard, located in Digoin on the banks of the Loire, has brought the Toue Cabanée back into fashion, to offer unusual floating accommodation. But more than a cabin, it’s a real boat that welcomes you for your stay.
The Toues Cabanées are available either docked at a pontoon or at anchor. In the2nd case, to board your boat in the middle of the pond, you’ll need a boat.
The original Toue CabanéeThe “Toue Cabanée” consists of a saloon convertible into a double bed, with fully equipped kitchen, WC, bathroom with walk-in shower, and a double cabin. A pull-out bed increases the boat’s capacity to 5 people. You’ll also appreciate the large deck forward, where you can relax in the heart of unspoiled nature. This version of the Toue Cabanée is available docked or at anchor.
The Toue Cabanée in spa versionis a 2-person boat. The boat features a double cabin, a bathroom with separate toilet, a fully equipped galley, and above all a private whirlpool bath on the foredeck. The Toue Cabanée Spa is only available at anchor.
The tribe version of the Toue Cabanée can accommodate large families. The boat has 2 separate cabins, one with bunk beds, and a saloon that converts to a double bed. All the comforts are there, including a bathroom with separate toilet, a fully-equipped galley, and a large terrace on the boat’s foredeck. The Toue Cabanée Tribu is only accessible from a pontoon.
