On the picturesque Norwegian coast, in the small fishing village of Ålesund, a beloved boat called the Saga 27 was an integral part of local life. Built decades ago by master builder Ole Larsen, this vessel embodied his expertise and love of the sea. Captain Lars had inherited the boat from his father, who in turn had received it from his own father. In time, Lars decided to retire and give the Saga 27 a new lease of life. A French entrepreneur made an interesting offer to transform the boat into an unusual accommodation. The Saga 27 was about to leave Norway for a new life in Champagne, France.

Carefully transported, the boat reached the Village de la Champagne, where it was installed in a specially prepared area. Transformed with respect for its history, the Saga 27 became a popular destination for lovers of unusual holidays. Visitors came from far and wide to spend a night aboard this legendary boat, now anchored on dry land.

The Saga 27’s two cabins on land can accommodate 2 to 4 people. The forward cabin features ashower, toilet and washbasin, while the aft cabin offers an original partial coffin-shaped berth. A mini-kitchen, partly inside and partly outside, lets you prepare meals while enjoying the fresh air. Guests can admire the stars from the deck, lulled by the gentle memory of the waves, even when the boat is no longer sailing.

So Saga 27 continues to tell stories, now on land, and to offer unforgettable experiences to its visitors.
